EarnHabit is designed for parents or guardians who are authorized to manage the linked child device.
What EarnHabit does
EarnHabit helps parents create tasks, review optional photo proof, reward earned screen time, and configure parent-approved games on a linked child device.
Data EarnHabit processes
- Parent account details: display name, email address, password hash, login tokens, and account settings.
- Child profile details: display name, selected avatar theme, play limits, game lock status, and optional profile photo.
- Task and reward records: task titles, descriptions, reward minutes, approval notes, play sessions, and balances.
- Optional task proof photos when a parent requires photo proof for a task.
- Child-device pairing details: device name, app inventory labels/package names, and parent-selected allowed-app settings.
- Daily Game Hours: optional parent-selected start and end times used to allow or pause parent-approved games. Game Hours do not disable tasks, photo proof, Family Chat, or Parent access.
- Family Chat messages: private text messages sent only between a Parent account and its linked Child device. Family Chat does not support photos, videos, voice messages, file attachments, public posts, or communication with strangers.
- Optional Parent Family Chat profile photo: a parent may add a profile image for the Family Chat. EarnHabit converts it to a compressed WEBP image to reduce transfer size and it is visible only to linked Family Chat members.
How EarnHabit uses this data
EarnHabit uses this data only to provide parent/child tasks, rewards, pairing, app allowance, and protection functions. EarnHabit does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Game Protection disclosure
When a parent enables Game Protection, EarnHabit uses Android Accessibility and system-window events to return a child device to EarnHabit when an unapproved app or the device Settings screen opens. It does not read messages, passwords, typed text, call audio, or record the screen. A visible status notification is displayed while the Accessibility protection service is active.
Family Chat retention
Family Chat is a private, text-only shared room between a Parent and linked Child profiles. Each message is automatically deleted after 3 days. A Parent can also clear the family conversation earlier from the Parent app. Family Chat messages and optional Parent Family Chat profile photos are deleted when the parent account and linked child data are permanently deleted.
Game Hours
A Parent may choose daily Game Hours, such as opening approved games after school and pausing games at bedtime. The schedule affects only parent-approved games. Tasks, task photo proof, Family Chat, and Parent access remain available.
Photo privacy and retention
Child profile photos and task proof photos are stored for the linked parent account. A parent can remove a child profile, remove an individual proof/photo where available, or permanently delete the parent account and linked data. EarnHabit should be used only by a parent or guardian authorized to manage the child device.
Sharing
EarnHabit does not share personal data with advertisers. Data is shared only with the hosting and service providers needed to operate EarnHabit, and only for that purpose.
Security
EarnHabit is configured to communicate with its production API over HTTPS. Parents should protect their account password and keep their device secure.
Your choices and deletion
You can update family profiles in the Parent app. To permanently delete an account and linked child data, use Delete EarnHabit Account in a browser or use Settings → Account & data → Delete my account in the Parent app. Account deletion permanently removes linked profiles, task/reward records, pairing records, profile photos, and task proof photos.
